General announcement and invitation for
VMSG's 10th Annual Symposium
The Vening Meinesz Research School of Geodynamics (VMSG) organises its annual symposium on
Wednesday, November 7, at Utrecht University, TNO-building.
VMSG Talks and Poster session
In order to present the research of the school adequately, the symposium centers its activity on the poster session.
The programme will encompass a maximum of 5 or 6 oral presentations by members of VMSG and a guest lecture by a prominent
scientist from outside VMSG.
The poster sessions allows all VMSG members to introduce their latest research and interests to fellow
VMSG members and representatives of Earth-Science-related industry, (semi) governmental organisations
and other research schools and academic institutions. Although posters on all subjects are welcome,
up-to-date material prepared for earlier (international) meetings may be considered for display.
All VMSG members are expected to participate in the poster session by presenting a poster on their
research. More info on the format of the posters will be sent by email, or contact the VMSG office for details.
Remember that a small panel will select the most innovative, impressive, or best designed poster, which will be given a (financially)
attractive award.
